Wagon insert and container liner for bulk cargo

A liner bag (container liner) is a large-capacity flexible packaging installed inside a sea container or a railway open-top wagon. It allows transporting bulk cargo without additional packaging (bags, big bags). The result is up to 30–40% savings on packaging and full utilization of the container volume.

Types of liners

20 ft container

Standard sea container. Cargo volume up to 24 tons. The most common type for grain export.

40 ft container

Increased volume. Up to 26–28 tons depending on density. For high-volume light bulk materials.

Wagon insert

For railway open-top wagons. Protection from precipitation during transport. Unloading via bottom hatches.

Loading process

  1. Unfold the liner inside the container and secure the top corners (15–20 min)
  2. Connect the loading spout to a pneumatic tube or conveyor
  3. Fill the container with bulk material (30–60 min depending on type)
  4. Tie the spout, secure the liner, close the container doors
  5. Unloading: open the bottom spout or tilt the container on a tilter

Frequently Asked Questions

How much cargo does a container liner hold?

A 20-foot holds up to 24 tons, a 40-foot holds up to 26–28 tons depending on the bulk density of the material. This is 15–20% more than when loading in bags.

Are liners suitable for food products?

Yes. The inner layer of food-grade polyethylene provides hygienic contact with the product. Manufacturers provide a certificate upon request.

How many people are needed to install a liner?

Usually 2 people: one unfolds and secures the liner, the second helps with the spout. Time — 15–20 minutes. Compare with 4–6 people for loading bags.

In addition to container and wagon liners, we also produce big bags for cargo logistics in two- and four-loop designs with load capacity up to 3000 kg. We prepare an optimal loading plan for a 20-foot container or open-top wagon free of charge upon request.
